Process

Careful planning is what separates a set of images that tells your project's story from a set that merely documents it. Here's how we get there.

  1. Talk through the project

    We start with the intention behind the design — what you were solving for, and how people move through the space.

  2. Walk the site

    A thorough walkthrough and a shared understanding of the project before anything gets planned.

  3. Build the shot list together
    We trade ideas, and I share how I'm reading your project through the lens — mapping each image to the light that serves it.

  4. Shoot
    By shoot day we both know exactly what we're after, including when each frame happens.

  5. Edit and deliver

    Extensive hand-editing to portfolio quality, then delivery and archiving.

What goes into an estimate?

  • Creative fee

    Quoted per day. Covers the time and skill to complete the project — client meetings, advance site visits, site-specific preparation, and all photographic equipment. A typical day produces 10–15 images across varying light conditions.

  • Post-processing

    Hand blending and lighting adjustments, color correction, perspective correction, and selective contrast. Post-processing commonly takes as long as the shoot itself. Also covers storage, backup, culling, digital delivery, and archiving.

  • Photographer's assistant

    My most valuable asset, and yours. Experienced hands mean we get more done in less time — and the photos come out better.

  • Standard use license

    Every project includes a license covering the usage needs of most clients. Additional licenses available when you need them.

Every project is different. Many variables affect the rate, so every project is quoted case by case.

Cost Sharing Options

Sharing costs is common practice in architectural photography. Bringing in one additional party saves you over 30%, and discounts increase with each party added.

Who typically wants access? Architects, interior designers, landscape architects, construction firms, subcontractors, and materials, furniture, flooring, and window vendors, plus owners and tenants.

Example

A $5,000 shoot with one added party becomes $6,500 total — $3,250 per party.
